Seed's Story

Seed Talent was created by Co-Founder & CEO Kurt Kaufmann and Co-Founder and Chairman Rona Borre after recognizing the need for a solution to better educate emerging industries. After working for several years on the plant-touching side of cannabis, Kurt saw firsthand the effects that a lack of readily available education can have on an emerging market: poor quality customer interactions, high employee turnover, and poor industry performance for all participants. Rona herself experienced those challenges in tech over the last 25 years and couldn’t sit idly by to let history repeat itself. 

Seed Talent was born at the height of the pandemic, focused not on creating our own courses, but rather on the challenge of aggregating and disseminating the best quality content from a variety of providers into one easy-to-access ecosystem.

A few short years later, Seed Talent emerges as the largest Employee Enablement Platform in cannabis supporting over 1,200 dispensaries and 100+ of the top cannabis brands in the country.
